BRI Research Institute Keynote: Opportunity Report for Indonesia's Bamboo Industry

Event Overview

On September 22, 2025 BRI Research Institute and BRI Peduli will be inviting Geovest Capital Advisory Founder and Managing Partner Diemas Sukma Hawkins to present in front of local small business owners in the Village of Loyok in East Lombok on business opportunities in the region. As one of the largest producers of handcrafted goods for the island, it is often overlooked on the bigger picture of what regenerative resources like Bamboo can offer, and the broader industrial applications available.

The key note will focus on the findings of the Geovest Capital Adivsory team outlined in their recent Opportunity Report on the Bamboo Sector for Indonesia, and how the banking sector can help unlock this potential given the challenge faced by local stakeholders — most of which in attendance were former migrant workers who faced harsh conditions overseas; making it a core aspect of the mission being how to deliver economic opportunities that keep them safe and employed at home.
